I turned left by accident and went into the wrong lounge. I should have been in galleries. Which was a happy mistake because the first lounge is rather nice. Good view, comfy seats, nice breakfast. Just the ticket.
Both my husband and I enjoyed our time in the lounge we were there for an early flight so we were able to sample the ample breakfast selection which included fruit juice , fresh fruit, bacon rolls and a hot selection to numerous to mention coupled with a selection of both hot and cold drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic. newspapers and magazines were abundant .
The lounge is a good size, but depends on what time of day your flight is as to how busy it is. The food buffet is adequate, and the bar is all self serve. Chairs comfortable, plenty of charging outlets and plug sockets for UK, EU and US plugs. Overlooks the runway and apron.
My main gripe is that it doesn't open until 0515. So those of us on the 0615 flight who had to check in at 0415 had to wait an hour.....when you pay for Club Europe the lounge is part of the experience. It should be open. Aside of that it is excellent
One of the better lounges. Prefer to be in lounges which are not open to everyone on basis of credit cards and priority pass. Able to maintain high quality of drinks and food. This place certainly does.
